BCCI has granted finance Rs.100 crores to the Rajasthan Cricket Association ( RCA ) to built India’s Second Largest Cricket Stadium at Jaipur.
An amount of about Rs. 290 crores has been estimated in the construction work.
The sources of the amount are —
  • Rs. 100 crores loan from the bank
  • Rs. 100 crores infrastructure grant from BCCI
  • Rs. 90 crores from RCS funds

Features of the stadium :

  • The proposed cricket stadium will have a seating capacity of 75,000.
  • There will be two practice grounds, 4 cricket academies, hostels etc. and will be made of international level.
  • The stadium is the biggest cricket stadium in the world as it is oval in shape.

Key details :

Construction work will be done in two phases.
  • There will be 40,000 spectator capacity in the first phase.
  • The ground will have 44 international level cricket pitches.
The construction work for the first phase of stadium is likely to take 24 to 30 months.
